Claire-Frances Chapman Head Shot Claire-Frances is in the second year of the Bachelor of Performing Arts at Monash. She completed Year 12 at Shoalhaven High School on the NSW South Coast where she achieved recognition on the Roll of Honour (Sydney Morning Herald) for outstanding results in her HSC Music and Drama courses.  She has won many awards for her contribution to and achievements in the Arts some including, The Certificate of Appreciation for contribution to the Creative and Performing Arts and The Norm Ranking Memorial Award for excellence in drama.

Claire performed with the Roo Theatre Company, Shellharbour between 1997-2003 where some of her later credits include Mole (The Wind in the Willows); Princess So Shi (Aladdin); Aunty Iris (Two Weeks with the Queen) and Dorothy in The Wiz.  Claire has also appeared in the musical production of Little Shop of Horrors both as Ronnette (Roo Theatre) and in the lead role of Audrey (Shoalhaven High School) in 2003. She was a regional finalist in the MATS Mo Awards National Junior Talent Search 2003-04 and appeared as a soloist in Southern Stars 2004 and 2005 at the Wollongong Entertainment Centre.  Also in 2004 Claire toured NSW as a featured artist with the Southern School’s Performing Ensemble.

Claire-Frances is a professional jazz singer. She has made many public appearances for the NSW Department of Education and community/charity events and fund raisers. Her ambition is to be a professional singer/actor and pursue a career in musical theatre.
