Craig Annis (on leave)

Craig Annis HeadshotCraig has a Bachelor of Dramatic Arts from the prestigious Victorian College of the Arts (VCA). Earlier Craig studied at the Newtown High School of Performing Arts where he received the honour of Drama Prefect. After school he was offered a placement at the University of Newcastle to study a Bachelor of Science and Laws degree but decided to defer the offer so he could pursue his theatrical aspirations.

A trained theatrical improvisor, Craig worked for 3 years at the Central Coast Theatresports Restaurant. It was here that his passion for pursuing a career in stand-up comedy began. He was a member of the comedy duo "The Three Guys" who performed throughout Newcastle and the Central Coast before going solo as a stand-up comic. He has since appeared throughout Victoria and NSW at many comedy venues and corporate events and is also part of the physical comedy trio "The Squirth", storming audiences in their 2005 Melbourne Fringe Festival show, "The Magical World of Partick the Servant."

Craig has an alter-eg, his grand-mother "Nan Evans" who formerly hosted bingo at the Terminus Hotel in Richmond. Nan Evans now free-lances at various corporate functions and has been known to don the microphone doing stand-up. Most recently Nan Evans entertained at the Parramatta Riverside Theatre in Sydney's annual Big Laugh Festival. She's seventy, she's kooky and downright Geeooorggggooouuussss! He also has extensive experience entertaining audiences at Titanic Theatre Restaurant as an interactive waiter and photographer.

Craig has appeared on television in Blue Heelers and in various high profile commercials, as well as appearing in several short films and doing voice over work for ABC Radio, doing radio plays and reading stories and poetry. He has also performed with a number of theatre companies including "Blood Moon" in the New Voices Project at the Gasworks Theatre. Later this year Craig will appear in "Blood Wedding" with the Women of Asia Company and "Ginger Mick At Gallipoli" with the "Petty Trafficers" theatre company.

Craig's work with children began as a children's party host at McDonalds Family Restaurants. He then freelanced as a clown at children's birthday parties throughout NSW before moving down to Melbourne to study. He also spent time teaching drama to children at Ego ManiACTS theatre company.

Now specialising in children's parties with Tony Bones Entertainment, Craig enjoys the chance to improvise and joke with children and their parents, whilst having the solid structure of a Tony Bones Entertainment show to support him.
